Summer Daze 2011 Part 1
Now that the weather’s starting to get cold and shitty all over Canada, figured it was about time to put up the first part of the Summer Daze 2011 photogallery. Verde in Montreal by Mike Cardin
To go along with the edit from our Ottawa/Montreal tour with Verde (if you haven’t watched it yet, do it now!) we put together a photogallery of some great shots by good friend and dope photographer Mike Cardin. We hooked up with Mike when we got to Montreal and he cruised around with us until we left with a camera in hand at all times. Mike shot all film and there’s a bunch of great riding and lifestyle shots of the crew, check out the gallery here.
Ottawa/Montreal Tour Edit (Stickied)
Our last trip on our 2011 Summer Tour took us through Ottawa and Montreal with the Verde team. We hit tons of street and parks with Kevin Kiraly, Drew York and Wade Lajlar and had a blast. Thanks to Jose at Joe Mamma in Ottawa for having us over for a great backyard BBQ and to Le Taz skatepark for hooking up a private session for us during the rain. Our 2011 Summer Tour was amazing, thanks to everyone who made every trip possible including all of our great shops we visited, our dope team (dudes kill it), all of our brands for getting some amazing riders up here for trips and to all the locals who helped us find spots, partied with us and made every trip that much better. Can’t wait for next year!
Ten Pack x WTP Vancouver Tour Edit
At the end of July/first part of August we rolled through the Vancouver area with Andrew Jackson, Chester Blacksmith and Greg Henry from Wethepeople. We hit up a bunch of stuff around the downtown and North Van areas including the 3Ride Rail Jam. We had a rough time with injuries and other setbacks but still had a blast and clocked some great footage. Thanks to James Steele (Kink) for hooking up some spots in the North Van area and to everyone who came out to ride at the Rail Jam and who hung out and partied with us. Enjoy the edit! Ottawa/Montreal Tour Final Days
Our last summer tour trip of the year with Verde in Ottawa and Montreal ended today and everyone caught their flights home. This trip had so many rough times from bad weather, tough security, lost cell phones, and more but we made the most of it and stacked a ton of pretty wild clips. Hurricane Irene rained out our jam with Marseille on Sunday but we made up for it with an after hours session that night at Le Taz skatepark. On Monday and Tuesday we hooked up with some of the MTL homies and hit up a bunch of spots and got stuff done. Drew York dropped a move on this rainbow rail in Montreal in the above photo, wait ’til you see it! And Wade Lajlar’s banger is completely off the chains, he pulled off a wild move at a spot we went to by accident late last night.
Thanks to the Verde crew for killing it, everyone at Le Taz skatepark for the private session and all the locals and everyone else who hooked things up for us during the trip. Ottawa/Montreal Tour Update 2
The last few days of our trip have been pretty crazy. We had a great day in Ottawa on Saturday even though we got kicked out of every single spot we went to. Luck wasn’t on our side but we still had a great time with the locals and everyone else including this rad kid named Chase Groulx. Chase has a heart condition that keeps him from riding but he’s still super stoked and we picked him up on our way to Legacy park to show him a good time. Yesterday we woke up in Ottawa and hauled to Montreal in the middle of a hurricane and ended up chilling out for a bit before we hit up an after hours session at Le Taz with some of the Montreal homies. Marseille Jam Today!
We’re getting ready to head to Montreal right now for the Stadium Jam with Marseille Bicycles. The weather might be pretty terrible but we’ll at least see everyone at the shop around 1PM and we’ll take it from there!
Ottawa/Montreal Tour Update
Our Ottawa/Montreal tour with Verde got off to a pretty rough start with tons of flight delays and cancellations. Drew York ended up coming in a day late which sucked but things are good now and we got some pretty sick clips yesterday. Wade Lajlar found an asphalt wave and sessioned the shit out of it with things like the stretched superman above. Today we’re heading to Joe Mamma‘s and Legacy park around 1PM for a session with the locals, if you’re around, come on out! Check out more photos after the jump.
