Today we left Halifax and now we’re on a 14 hour ferry over to Newfoundland which should be a wild ass time. We’ve been riding a ton over the last couple days and everyone’s been killing it. Andy Roode destroyed this spot at Pier 21 with moves like this roller coaster toothpick. Check out some more photos after the jump and we’ll see everyone in Newfoundland at Turndown!
This trip has been wild! We’re back in Halifax now after our trip to Charlottetown, PEI where we had a great time with the locals. We stopped in at MacQueen’s and had a great session at the park with the locals that ended with a game of footdown. The night got real wild when we ended up back at the skatepark in the dark with a keg full of beer…but that’s another story. Everyone clocked some clips, including Phil Bartlett who dive bombed this tooth hanger in downtown Charlottetown. Thanks to Dan and John and everyone at MacQueen’s for hooking us up with a great place to stay in the apartment above the shop and some amazing fresh salmon that Dan caught. We’ve been having some good times out here on the east coast even though the weather’s been less than perfect. It’s been a lot colder than we thought and raining off and on but we’ve still been getting things done. Today we hit up Sportwheels in Sackville, NS and hung out for a bit then had a great session with everyone back at the Commons park. Today was the first full day of our east coast trip and a lot of shit went down. We all got into Halifax yesterday and sat around and watched it rain so we were all stoked to get out. Everyone was in kill mode, especially Sam Lowe in the above photo with an overgrind. Check out a bunch more photos after the jump and expect more updates soon.
A couple weeks back we hit up Montreal to hang out with Liam and the crew at 514 BMX for their grand opening summer jam. Chijioke Okafo, Chris Silva and myself drove up and met up with Corey Dewey, Greg Flag, Mike Cardin, Mike Fiz, Eric Trepanier and a bunch of other Montreal and area locals for a super fun session. Everyone got down on the bunnyhop bar and some other spots we rode nearby under sunny skies. Thanks a ton to Liam for putting things together and having such an amazing shop and to our homie Sean Cooke for filming and hooking up the edit.
The 514 Jam went down on Saturday and we all had a blast. The weather was amazing and we all hung out in a park across the street from the shop and jibbed around on some stuff, had a bunnyhop/switch-footed bunnyhop/highest 180/highest barspin contest and then cruised some local spots after. No one wanted to challenge Greg Flag (pictured above) in the limbo contest, dude can get low! Check out some more pics after the jump.
Yesterday was the first day of spring so we hit the streets to celebrate. Greg Flag (MacNeil), Corey Dewey (Federal/Animal), Sean Cooke, Mike Cardin and myself cruised around downtown Montreal and got a few things done.
